Gators Take On Wildcats

The Gators are looking to take a bit out of the Wildcats this Saturday in Gainesville. In their last 4 meetings the Gatoes have beat the Wildcats 175-56, and the last two games had the Gators winning by more than 34 points and 57 points. The Gators have won the last 23 games against Kentucky. This years team may be slightly different but the end result should be the same with a big Gators win this week. Brantley is looking to step his game up more and throw for 300 yards today.

Gators Get Ready For USF Bulls

The Florida Gators have their eyes set on quarterback B.J. Daniels and containing him in Saturdays match up against the Bulls. The Gators are looking to eliminate Daniels passing game and then concentrate on shutting down the run. The Gators are aware that Daniels will come out looking to get the passing game going early and it is their plan to shut it down by playing extremely tight coverage.

The Bulls lost some of their star players last year but the team is still well oiled. The Gators need to have the defense on point throughout the game and Brantley to show some stat power. If Brantley and the defense deliver you could see the Gators win by more than 20. However if Daniels is not contained and Brantley isn't in good form the day could come down to a 1 touchdown game. This is not what Gator fans want to see this early in the season, they want a royal whooping to be handed out.

USF had 4 interceptions against Stony Brook in their opening day win. The Bulls rolled over Stony Brook 59-14. However it was just Stony Brook and this isn't much of a test for any school.

The Gators should win this one easily, our prediction is 34-17.

What's The Run Game Look Like

We have Jeff Demps coming off some record breaking NCAA track performances and he is itching to get to work on the gridiron. Emmanuel Moody ia recovering from his ankle injury and should be back ready to take some carries as well soon. The rest of the running game will have to develop as the season does. The Gators have Mike Gillislee and freshman Mack Brown they can look to bring some new depth but none of them has an established history so they will have to prove themselves game by game. Tebow carried for 49 touchdowns in his days for the Gator Nation, but now the responsibility rests on the shoulders of numerous players who are unproven for the most part. This kind of pressure should be welcomed by Demps and others who seek to break records and make a name for themselves in the NCAA. This next two weeks of practice should provide more insight into how the top spots are panning out, but Demps is the lead back for now most certainly.

Tebow Hazed, But Not Confused!

Tim Tebow is having some fun with his new status as rookie on the Denver Broncos. Most recently he sported a new haircut given to him by team-mates which makes us think of some sort of monk or Greco-roman warrior. While he has been hazed over the past few weeks, he has not been confused in practices. Tebow has adjusted very well and is already making noise in his first fan attended practice scrimmage.

20,000 Denver Bronco faithfuls packed investco field to get a look at the T-man. Let's just say he did not disappoint them when he scored two touchdowns on the day. Tebow passed for one touchdown and ran for the other. The scrimmage was the largest attendance in Bronco history and was no doubt due to hype surrounding Tebow.
